WHITE BREAD LOAF

CLASSIC WHITE BREAD LOAF

Soft. Fresh. Perfect Every Time.

Ingredients

3 cups Madam Agro Maida (Refined Wheat Flour) 1½ tsp instant dry yeast 1 tbsp sugar 1 tsp salt 2 tbsp oil or melted butter 1 cup warm milk (or water) – around 110°F / 43°C Extra oil/butter for greasing

Instructions:

1

Activate the yeast (if using active dry yeast)

In a bowl, mix warm milk with sugar and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
2

Mix the dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine Madam Agro Maida, salt, oil, and the activated yeast mixture. Mix to form a soft dough.
3

Knead well

Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. You can use a stand mixer with a dough hook too.
4

First rise

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
5

Shape the dough

Punch down the dough, shape into a loaf, and place in a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan.
6

Second rise

Cover and let it rise again for 30–40 minutes, or until it puffs just above the rim.
7

Bake

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Bake the loaf for 25–30 minutes, until golden brown and it sounds hollow when tapped.
8

Cool & serve

Brush the top with butter for a soft crust. Let it cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.

Tips:

Use warm milk (not hot) to help yeast activate properly. Add 1 tbsp milk powder for extra richness. Store in an airtight container to retain freshness for up to 3 days.
